Terms of Service
Last updated: March 25, 2026
Plain English: use Splicr to save and organize knowledge for your projects. Don't abuse it. Your content is yours.
What Splicr is
Splicr is a knowledge capture and routing tool. You save content (links, snippets, highlights) from your browser, phone, or chat apps. Our AI organizes it by project and makes it available to your coding agents.
Your account
- You need an account to use Splicr. Keep your password secure.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- One person per account. Don't share credentials.
- We can suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Your content
- You own what you save. We don't claim ownership of any content you capture through Splicr.
- You give us permission to store, process, and display your content back to you — that's how the product works.
- We use AI to summarize and categorize your content. This processing is done solely to provide the service to you.
- We don't use your content to train AI models.
- We don't share your content with other users or third parties.
Acceptable use
Use Splicr for its intended purpose — saving and organizing knowledge. Don't:
- Use it to store illegal content.
- Abuse the API or attempt to overload our servers.
- Try to access other users' data.
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the service.
- Resell access to your account.
Free and paid plans
- We offer free and paid tiers. Free accounts have usage limits (captures per month, number of projects).
- Paid plans are billed monthly. You can cancel anytime — your access continues until the end of the billing period.
- We won't lock you out of data you've already saved if you downgrade. You just can't add more beyond the free limits.
Availability
We do our best to keep Splicr running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We're a small team and things break sometimes. We won't be liable for downtime or data loss, though we take backups seriously.
Cancellation and data deletion
- You can stop using Splicr at any time.
- To delete your account and all data, email contact@techvaultsolutions.com.
- Once deleted, your data is gone. We don't keep backups of deleted accounts beyond 30 days.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Liability
Splicr is provided "as is." We're building this with care, but we can't guarantee it will be bug-free or always available. We're not liable for indirect damages from using the service. Our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months.
